LAUGHTER YOGA is a fun form of exercise that:

  • strengthens the immune system, 
  • reduces the negative effects of stress,
  • lowers blood pressure,
  • improves mental alertness,
  • enhances blood oxygen levels,
  • boosts circulation and
  • helps you feel good by releasing endorphins and lifting your spirits.


You do not need to have any previous experience, equipment or a particular form of clothing to practice. There are no contortions or fancy movements. There is no joke-telling. You do not need to be happy or even have a sense of humor! 


What to Expect
During a Laughter Yoga session there is a series of laughter exercises and deep breathing followed by a laughter meditation. The sessions are never quite the same since there are thousands of laughter exercises and we can always invent more!  Your Laughter Yoga leader will guide you each step of the way, but there is plenty of opportunity for creative expression with Laughter Yoga.

To Get the Most From Your Laughter Yoga Session:


·       Try not to eat a heavy meal within an hour of starting Laughter Yoga

·       Wear comfortable clothing so you can move freely or sit without arm restriction

·       Bring a yoga mat or towel if you are able to get down to the floor

·       A blanket may make you more comfortable during our guided meditation

·       Bring water to help you stay hydrated before, during and after your session. 

                                                (Sometimes laughing can make your throat dry.)

·       Come with an open mind!  Laughter Yoga is great fun!
